Dear B Saunders,
Reference number: FOI/CSF/12/11/3912
On 4th December 2011 we received the following request for information
from you:
"Please can you tell me how many schools currently have a child on
role who is supported by an ABA trained support assistant within
the school?
If you cannot provide the exact number due to schools making their
own arrangements then please provide the number that is known to
you.

Please can you tell me how many of these children won this

In addition to my request sent a few moments ago. Please can you
provide the names of the schools that are currently supporting a
child with an ABA support assistant that you know of."
Your request for information has been considered under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. I can confirm that Hertfordshire County Council does
hold the information you have requested and can respond as follows:
Please can you tell me how many schools currently have a child on role who
is supported by an ABA trained support assistant within the school?
If you cannot provide the exact number due to schools making their own
arrangements then please provide the number that is known to you.
One.
Can you please tell me how many schools have had this within the last
a)year, b)2 years c)3 years.
In addition to the above, one further pupil received support from an ABA
trained support assistant two years ago.
Please can you tell me how many of these children won this provision at
tribunal?
One.
In addition to my request sent a few moments ago. Please can you provide
the names of the schools that are currently supporting a child with an ABA
support assistant that you know of.
Owing to the small numbers involved, the disclosure of the name of the
school in question could lead to the identification of individuals, and in
this case potentially vulnerable young people. The disclosure of such
information would therefore constitute a breach of the Data Protection Act
1998 and therefore the County Council is withholding the name of the
school in question under Section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act
2000, relating to third party personal data.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us, quoting
the reference number on this email. To find out more about Freedom of
Information, please visit [1]www.hertsdirect.org/foi
If you are unhappy with the way the County Council has handled your
request for information you may request an internal review of the request.
This will be carried out by a member of the County Council Legal Services
Team, who has had no prior involvement with the request. Requests for an
internal review should be sent to the Information Governance Unit at the
address above.
If you are unhappy with the outcome of the internal review you are
entitled to ask the Information Commissioner to investigate your
