A date for a response to a report about Equitable Life
Stephen Wynn made this Freedom of Information request to Her Majesty’s Treasury
The request was successful.

Dear Sir or Madam,
The Treasury has apparently not yet responded to the report of the
European Parliament about Equitable Life, dated 23rd May 2007. When
will it do so? I am particularly interested in Recommendation B 12
about the Financial Ombudsman Service:
" .. the committee believes that the Equitable Life case has
revealed a number of serious shortcomings in its operation. The
committee therefore urges the UK Government to address these
shortcomings, strengthen the FOS's capacities and ensure that it is
truly independent from the FSA and from the government itself."

Dear responses, FOI,
Thank you for your e-mail. You mention the Hunt Review.
I have written an article about this Review. which you might find
of interest:

I did not realise it is partly a response to the EQUI report.
Yours sincerely,
Stephen Wynn
