Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to enquire if/when the A50 will be
controlled by your national control centre? And also I believe the
incident support unit only works for 16 hours in a day. When will
this be extended to cover it 24 hours a day?
Yours faithfully, David jones

Dear Mr Jones,
In response to your request under the Freedom of Information Act, I can
confirm that the A50 DBFO is part of the Highways Agency's national
strategic trunk road and motorway network. This network is
operationally controlled through the Highways Agency's Regional Control
Centres. The A50 DBFO is controlled by both the WMRCC and EMRCC, and
also through the National Traffic Control Centre (NTCC).
The Enhanced Incident Support Unit (ISU) on the A50 operates 7 days per
week between 05:00hrs and 21:00hrs, but there is a 24 hour call out
coverage service in operation.
Kind Regards
Ranjeet Bansal
