January 2012 concerning the implementation of A19 of the Police Pensions
Regulations 1987.
Your request for information has now been considered and the information
asked for is below following your questions.
You asked specifically:
“Please can you answer the following questions: A19 Forced retirement of
Police Officers
1/ Was A19 implemented for your force in 2011/2012
No
2/ Do you plan to use it in 2012/2013”
No, at present there are no plans to apply Regulation A19 within the
Constabulary. It is, however, an option that remains available should the
need arise.
