Dear Mr Merridew,
Freedom of Information Request
I write in response to your freedom of information request received on 15
January 2012 as follows:
“1. Was A19 implemented for your force in 2011/2012. 2. Do you plan to
use it in 2012/2013”
Your request will now be handled in accordance with the Act.
Cambridgeshire Police Authority does not hold this information. However
Cambridgeshire Constabulary which is a separate organisation and is
treated as such under the Act may well do so. You may therefore wish to
resubmit your request to them – to assist I provide the link below:
[1]http://www.cambs-police.co.uk/about/foi/...
Section 16(1) of the Act requires a ‘Public Authority to provide advice
and assistance, so far as it would be reasonable to expect the authority
to do so’. On the 6th April 2011 Cambridgeshire Police Authority agreed
to delegate the power of A19 to the Chief Constable. Both the related
Authority paper and minutes can be accessed via the link below:

[3]Full Police Authority Meeting Minutes 06.04.11
Should you be unhappy with the way your FOI request has been dealt with,
your attention is drawn to the attached sheet which details your right of
complaint.
Many thanks
Chris Meadowcroft
