Freedom of Information Request
In reply to your email enquiry dated 25 July, our estimate included time to set up and monitor the search for each of the 400 hundred terminals and extract and copy the information that might result from each of those searches. It excludes any computer run time as the search would be performed automatically.
As stated in my reply of 21 July, if you are able to narrow the scope of your request, for example, by describing the sort of information you are hoping to find within the URLs, HMRC may be able to locate the information at a cost less than the appropriate limit specified in regulations. You should also note that our terminals only keep this information for about 3 months and we do not hold information for earlier periods. Any reformulated request the Department receives from you will be treated as a fresh FOI request.
