Hello all.

Final response attached. The deadline for consultation responses is tomorrow so please drop Barbara and myself a line if your organisations decides NOT to endorse the response. Otherwise, if I don't hear from you, I'll assume its OK for it to be submitted as a joint response at COP tomorrow.

And many thanks to all of you for your comments and contributions.

Kind regards,

Emma

Subject: DRAFT joint consultation response to Code of Practice for Keeping Children Safe from Harm

Dear all,

Barbara Donovan at ADCS has prepared this joint response to the UKBA Code of Practice consultation, incorporating many of your comments. Please drop me a line if you are happy with this as a joint response or if you have any amendments or additions. Obviously the deadline is this Friday so please contact me asap!

Judith and Terry - we'd be really pleased if we could say the response was informed by your organisations again but drop me line if that isn't appropriate - we've left this out for the time being.

Barbara is contacting ADASS and ADSS Cymru to see if they can endorse the response seperately.

Many thanks,

Emma

Subject: BIA Code of Practice for Keeping Children Safe from Harm - Consultation Response

Dear all,

We would be interested in providing a joint response to the BIA consultation on the Code of Practice for Keeping Children Safe from Harm with those involved in the UASC Reform Steering Group - and we'd be very happy to be informed of the views of the Refugee Council and Save the Children, as previously.

Attached is a word version of the consultation questions and more information can be found at: <http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/aboutus/consultations/keepingchildrensafe/uasc_codeofpractice.pdf> http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/aboutus/consultations/keepingchildrensafe/uasc_codeofpractice.pdf < <http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/aboutus/consultations/keepingchildrensafe/uasc_codeofpractice.pdf> http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/aboutus/consultations/keepingchildrensafe/uasc_codeofpractice.pdf>

If you are interested in doing a joint response then please drop me a line and then please send any responses to the questions by 2 April.

(NB This has already been sent to ADaSS/ADCS reps through their network.)

Many thanks,

Emma
