AREA A (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 1993 (AMENDMENT NO. 121) ORDER 2002

Cambridge City Council ("the Council") in pursuance of arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Cambridgeshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 63, and 64 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act of 1984") (as amended) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 hereby make the following Order:

1. This Order shall come into operation for all purposes on the 23rd day of September 2002 and may be cited as The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No.121) Order 2002.

2. In this Order the expression "the Order of 1993" shall mean The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 and any reference to the Order of 1993 shall be construed as a reference to that Order as varied or amended.

3. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect as though the following addition shall be made to Article 131:

131(f) No person shall cause any motor vehicle the weight of which whether laden or unladen exceeds the maximum gross metric weight of 7.5 tonnes to proceed between 10. 00 pm and 7.00 am the following day to enter the roads and parts of roads specified in Part 8 of Schedule 16 to this Order at the location and from the directions specified in Part 8 of Schedule 16 to this Order

4. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect by the addition of Schedule 16 Part 8 as specified by the SCHEDULE to this Order
