AREA A (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 1993
(AMENDMENT NO.8) ORDER 1993
Cambridge City Council ("the Council") in pursuance of arrangements made under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 with Cambridgeshire County Council in exercise of the powers of the said County Council under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 49, 63, and 64 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act of 1984") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 hereby make the following Order:
1. This Order shall come into operation for all purposes on the 13th day of June 1994 and may be cited as The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No.8) Order 1993
2. In this Order the expression "the Order of 1993" shall mean The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 and any reference to the Order of 1993 shall be construed as a reference to that Order as varied or amended.
3. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect as though Article 86(1) was deleted and substituted by the following Article:
86(1) Each resident's parking place specified in Parts 6, 8, 9, 10 and 12 of Schedule 12 to this Order may be used subject to the provisions of this Order for the leaving during the permitted hours of such vehicles as are displaying in the manner specified in Article 95 of this Order a valid permit issued to a resident by the Council in respect of that vehicle.
4. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect as though the following addition was made to Schedule 9:

from a point 10.5 metres north of the
centreline of Beche Road for a distance
of 11 metres in a northerly direction

5. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect as though Articles 87(1) was deleted and substituted by the following Article:
87(1) Each resident's parking place specified in Parts 5,6,7,8,9,10, and 12 of Schedule 12 to this Order may be used subject to the provisions of this Order for the leaving during the permitted hours of such vehicles as are displaying in the manner specified in Article 95 of this Order a valid permit issued to a resident or a business proprietor in respect of that vehicle.
6. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect as though Article 92(1)(b) was deleted and substituted by the following Article:
92(1)(b) Parts 4(1), 5(1), 5(2), 6(1), 6(2), 8(1), 8(2),
9(1), 9(2), 10(1), 10(2) and 12(1) of Schedule
12 shall be 15 pounds for a motor cycle, 30 pounds
for any other eligible vehicle and 45 pounds
for business proprietors
7. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect as though all references to Abbey Road Beche Road Godestone Road Priory Road River Lane Riverside Saxon Road and Walnut Tree Avenue were removed from Schedule 2 Part 2.
8. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect as though all references to Beche Road were removed from Schedule 13.
9. The Order of 1993 shall be amended and have effect as though the parking places specified in the FIRST SCHEDULE to this Order were added to Schedule 1 Part 7.
