GENERAL

England & Lyle on behalf of Northumbrian Water

  • In essence the scope for future development in the East Cleveland towns is potentially limited because the current water supply to the area is by a single large water main. There could still be local issues in Lingdale that would require local investment in infrastructure. NWL would request consultation at the earliest possible stage on potential preferred housing allocations in these settlements.

  • Development on this site would `round off' development in this village. With substantial landscaping along the site's northern boundary, there would be an overall landscape improvement in the area. A frontage development of terraced and semi-detached housing might yield 15-20 houses on the northern portion of the site. The smaller parcel at the south western end would be restricted 3-4 units.
