Dear Ms Watson

Request for information

In your email of 12 March you asked for information relating to complaints we had received over the last 10 years against Camden Council's Department of Children, Schools and Family.

I am afraid we don't record complaints against specific council departments and, in any case, I doubt Camden have had a Department of Children, Schools and Family for all of the last 10 years. We record complaints against the Council as a whole, and categorise them by subject. For example, I could give you information on complaints about education and about children's social care. Is that what you would like?

You also asked how many `breaches of data complaints' there were and how many were upheld. I don't know what you mean by `breaches of data'.

If you could clarify the above points, I will try and provide the information.

You asked how many awards of compensation were recommended - I will not be able to supply this information for the whole 10 years, as we don't keep this information for that long.

Sorry not to have replied sooner - when I hear back from you, I should be able to supply the information straight away.
