Dear Mr Tyes

Thank you for your requests for information.

I have attached a spreadsheet which provides the statistical information you have requested.

We do not have a specific policy on how shared parenting is assessed in relation to homeless applications.  Officers would have regard to the individual circumstances of the family applying for assistance and will refer to the Code of Guidance and any relevant case law before making a reasoned decision on priority need on this basis.

I hope this information is useful to you, however, if you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely

the 5 categories. Please confirm whether the family was headed by a
couple, a single mother or a single father. Please also confirm how
long it took to process their application.

     Yours faithfully,

Homelessness Policy

     Dear Sir or Madam,

Please could you supply a copy of your homelessness policy on
shared parenting with guidelines on how you decide which parent is
the primary carer for the provision of council housing and which is
the secondary carer and hence is only suitable for being housed as
     a single person.

     Yours faithfully,

     Ian Tyes
