Thank you for your recent request for an internal review of your FOI request. In an e-mail from you 
on 24th April 2009, you were unhappy with the decisions/handling made in relation to your FOI 
request. I am writing to request an internal review of Children and Family Court Advisory Support 
Service's handling of my FOI request 'Common Purpose'.  
 
Valerie Howarth, Chair of the Cafcass Board, has now carried out the internal review  and the 
conclusions of the review are set out below: 
 
Internal Review â€“ R.Soles Freedom of Information Request 
 
It is difficult to understand why the complainant is asking for this review. The answer was given in the 
first response and he has not given any further clarification or information regarding the FOI ‘Common 
Purpose’ Question. 
 
The first reply was sent within the specified time (see email dated March 10th 2009) Mr soles 
requested the information again on 9th April suggesting he had not received it. A second email was 
sent on April 14th. 
 
No further clarification has been sought regarding this nor the second request on transparency.   We 
cannot follow up without further clarification.
