Gentiana pneumonanthe – Marsh Gentian (Nationally Scarce but not found in 2004)
Scorzonera humilis – Viper’s Grass (Red Data Book species, but not found in 2004)
36 Notable species recorded in 2004. Plus various orchids & good grassland flora

Not until late August.
Present management arrangements to continue.
OTHER POINTS OF INTEREST:
• There has been considerable damage to this verge during 1988 including ditch
clearance and dumping which is extremely detrimental to the VERY RARE species
found here. We cannot stress enough just how important this verge is. IT IS OF
NATIONAL IMPORTANCE!
