We write with regard to your recent enquiry for information held by the Council under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The information requested is:

This response can only deal with allowances associated with Cllr Murphy as a Member of Newham Council. You will need to direct any enquiries about any connection Cllr Murphy may have with Hove to Brighton & Hove Council.

In respect of Newham, the Council publishes annually on its web site details of all travel, subsistence etc claimed by Members. This can be found in the Council and Democracy part of the web site under “Your Representatives”

Information relating to Cllr Murphy has been checked for the period requested and no information exists. This is because Cllr Murphy did not make any claims for expenses from the Council for 2007 - 2008.
