Dear Dr Hamer

Freedom of Information Request Reference No: 165-09-134

I write in connection with your request for information received on 2 March 2009
concerning an incident in Sandcross Lane, Reigate. I apologise for the delay in
responding.

Your request gave the date of the incident as 3am Friday 20 February 2008(?);
however I have checked Surrey Police systems for incidents recorded in Sandcross
Lane approximately 3am Friday 20 February 2009 and 21 February 2009 and have
been unable to find an incident at that time/location.

It may be that the incident originated at another location and came to a conclusion in
Sandcross Lane but, again I have not been able to trace such an incident.

Without further detail to enable further searching, I have to respond at this time that
the information you request is not held by Surrey Police.

Notwithstanding the above, if a record of any incident should be located Surrey Police
would be very unlikely to provide details under FOI as the information would attract
Section 30 Investigations and Section 40 Personal Information exemptions.

Surrey Police provides you the right to request a re-examination of your case under its
review procedure. How to do this is set out in the attached Appeals Notice.  Having
followed the full procedure, if you are still dissatisfied, then you have the right to direct
your comments to the Information Commissioner who will give your case
consideration.

Yours sincerely
