I am responding to your e-mail of 31 March 2009 requesting an internal review relating to your request of 27 February 2009.

A response to this request was sent on 18 March informing you that information related to your request is held by MOD and that it may fall within the scope of the exemption at Section 37 of the Act (Communications with Her Majesty and honours). You were also informed that further exemptions may apply and that further time is needed to consider the public interest. This is permitted under the Act. You were given an estimated date of response of 17 April 2009. If it is not possible to meet this date you will be informed.

Once you have received your substantive response if you are not satisfied you may then request an internal review.

I hope this clarifies the position.
