Dear Mr Cooper
I am writing further to my correspondence of 5th March 2009 regarding your information request dated 27th February 2009
After a thorough search of the Home Office, UK Border Agency, Criminal Records Bureau and the Identity and Passport Agency's records, I regret to inform you that the Home Office does not hold the information that you have requested. The reason for this is that the Home Office passed over responsibility for the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man to the Ministry of Justice some years ago. Therefore for answers to your request for information you may want to contact either the Ministry of Justice or alternately the Department of Communities and Local Government who were responsible for passing the civil partnerships act into UK law.
You can contact the Ministry of Justice either via email at this address
or via the post at
Ministry of Justice
102 Petty France
London
SW1H 9AJ
United Kingdom
Alternately you can contact Department of Communities and Local Government either via email at this address
or via the post at
Communities and Local Government
Eland House
Bressenden Place
London

I realise that this response may be a disappointment to you. However I would like to assure you that a thorough search was conducted and that I am confident that we no longer hold the information that you asked for.
Yours sincerely
Martin Riddle
