25th March 2009

Dear Ricki Dewsbury

Request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA)

Reference No: FOI09-2050

I write in connection with your request for information dated 25th February 2009, which was received by Nottinghamshire Police on 26th February 2009 and acknowledged by email on 26th February 2009. I note you seek access to the following information:

1) How many people were arrested for soliciting prostitutes or kerb

crawling in Nottingham in each month of 2008.

2) The names of the roads they were arrested on.

3) Of those arrested in each month the number who were a) released

without charge

b) cautioned

c) charged

d) fined

e) If none of the above can be applied to each arrest I would like

to know how the crime was dealt with.

Unfortunately I am unable to respond to your request within 20 working days, as a decision has not been reached on the application of exemptions and the requirement to conduct harm and public interest tests. This is under S 17 (2)(b) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I am therefore applying an extension to this request by a further 20 working days.

Should you have any further enquiries concerning this matter, please write or contact the Freedom of Information Officer on telephone number 0115 9672507 or e-mail [email address] quoting the above reference number.

Yours sincerely

Coryn Reynolds
