Dear Mr McCaw,

Thank you for your email dated 17 March concerning your request, under the Freedom of Information Act, dated 16 February 2009 for the following information:

Please supply in detail, total expenditure by the Army on Common Purpose courses from 1997 to date. Please also supply a copy of the invoice for each Common Purpose course paid for by the Army.

Common Purpose is the training organisation of that name: http://www.commonpurpose.org/home.aspx

I would like to apologise for the delay in responding. We have asked the person dealing with your request to write to you advising when they will be in a position to reply.

In your e-mail on 17 March 2009 you quoted a number of Parliamentary Questions and asked a number of questions concerning them. It is not clear from your email what additional recorded information you seek beyond that which you have already asked for. As you may know the Act provides only a statutory right for applicants to be given access to recorded information ie it has to exist at the time the request is made. The MOD may be able to provide information if you refine your request so that we can explore whether MOD holds the recorded information you seek. Please contact me if you would like to refine your request or require advice on doing so.

Yours sincerely,

Mirko Rados
