1. Introductions and Apologies

Sian Thomas (Chair) welcomed the group and explained that there will be a launch of the Save the Children report after lunch.

5. Welsh Assembly Government update

In the absence of a representative from the Welsh Assembly Government AH for WSMP provided an update

UASC Reform - WSMP

There was a meeting held by Brian Kinney and Jerry Harland from the UASC reform team at UK BA in Cardiff. The group were informed that other regions in the UK are interested in becoming `special authorities'. Newport local authority explained that they are in no position to become a specialist authority at this stage.

AH explained to the group that it is important that UASC Reform is kept on the agenda in Wales.
