I am writing with regard to your postings on the website
www.whatdotheyknow.com where you ask for total expenditure by NHS
Health Scotland on training courses provided by the organisation “Common
Purpose” over the years 1997 to 2008.
Firstly, may I assure you that your original request dated 13th Feb 2009 never
reached NHS Health Scotland. It was only as a consequence of one item of
later correspondence from you being caught by our IT systems “spam filter”,
that we were able to identify your original request posted on the website
above and therefore provide you with this answer.
The email address for you, provided by the website above and identified
within the email caught by our spam filter, is the only means by which we are
able to respond to you.
Information released
After reviewing your request, we have established from our financial systems
that Health Scotland has no record of a supplier cal ed “Common Purpose”
and therefore has no financial transactions with such a company. Specifical y
therefore, our expenditure with the company “Common Purpose” through the
years 1997 - 2009 is £0.
The Act gives you the right to ask the Chief Executive to review his decision
regarding your request. If you wish to do this, you should make your request
to the Chief Executive within 40 working days of receipt of this letter. Your
request must be in a recordable format (letter, email, audio tape, etc).
When a request for review is received by this office, it may be dealt with by a
Head of Department or Director who wil review the original decision and any
supporting arguments you may wish to make.
The Head of Department/Director wil then consult the Chief Executive before
responding to you, al within 20 working days.
