Dear Mr MacLean

Request for Information

Further to your request for information of 19 June 2008, in which you asked us to detail the total expenditure by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) on Common Purpose courses for the years 1997 to 2008 (to date) inclusive, we are now in a position to provide you with this information.

I can confirm that only one member of ICO staff has been sent on a Common Purpose Course. The course took place in July 2005, and the total expenditure for the ICO was £569.88.

We do hold a copy of the invoice for this course, but unfortunately this is held in manual format only and therefore we cannot provide you with an electronic copy as an attachment to this e-mail. Therefore, if you could provide us with your postal address we will ensure this information is provided to you as soon as possible.

I look forward to hearing from you shortly.

Yours sincerely
