Dear Mr Hood,
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION UNDER FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - A REVIEW
Thank you for your email dated 17 February 2009 to the Department for Transport asking for an internal review to be considered for the non release of the following information:
“Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 would you tell me how many accidents were caused by drivers quickly driving away from traffic wardens (or parking attendants) that prompted this change in the Law?
“Please confine your answers to the 12 months prior to the change in the Law on 31st March 2008. However, if you have the details, also include separately the 10 year period immediately before the change. Additionally, of these accidents, how many resulted in:
a) death?
b) serious injury?
c) minor injury?
I am writing to confirm that the Department will now undertake an internal review of our decision letter dated 16 February 2009. We aim to respond to your complaint within 20 working days.
If you have any queries about this letter, please feel free to contact me for further help. Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future communications.
Yours sincerely
Mr Jeaur Rahman
