Further to my email dated 11^th February 2009, I can confirm that your request has been processed as a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

You have requested the following information;

“Details of incidents of vandalism, reported to you, during 2008 at Kansas Avenue Flats,Belfast”

I can confirm that the Housing Executive hold information relevant to your request as follows;

1) Information below sourced using property record card - Incidents reported through response maintenance / repairs system, which may indicate vandalism.

Block 1 Kansas Avenue Flats, Belfast.

15/12/2008 Repair intercom system.

17/11/2008 Front communal door lock not working.

27/10/2008 Front communal door kicked in - lock and frame damaged.

Block 2 Kansas Avenue Flats, Belfast.

03/09/2008 Remove graffiti communal front hall and electric box.

Block 4 Kansas Avenue Flats, Belfast.

12/12//2008 Reglaze communal window at front door.

11/12/2008 Board up communal window - cracked in 5 places.

18/11/2008 Graffiti sprayed on gable wall block 25-30.

2) Information below sourced using Anti-Social Behaviour database. Cases opened in 2008 with relation to vandalism/criminal damage at Kansas Avenue Flats.

Complaint - Unknown youths.

25/02/2008 Youths drinking, urinating etc in drying area.

Complaint - Unknown youths.

04/08/2008 Youths creating noise, drinking and urinating in block 4.

Complaint - Unknown youths.

03/09/2008 Youths in communal area drinking, using drugs, urinating etc

Complaint - Unknown youths.

30/09/2008 Bedroom and kitchen window broken.
