Dear Mr Bettelley
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST – EN00253
Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act (
FOIA) received by the Olympic Delivery Authority
(
ODA) on 9 February 2009 requesting the following information:
In view of the significant increases in cost estimates for very many of
the Olympic Games sites, could you please let me know what is the
current estimate for holding the Equestrian Events in Greenwich
Park?
The ODA does not hold information falling within the description
specified in your request. The use of Greenwich Park as a venue during
the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games (the Games) does
not require construction work and is not within the ODA’s ambit of work.
The majority of the work to be done at Greenwich Park has to do with
overlay, which is the responsibility of the London Organising Committee
for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Limited (LOCOG). The
1
funding required to host the equestrian events at Greenwich Park
during the Games is not provided by the ODA and does not fall within
the ODA budget. Accordingly, we do not hold the information you have
requested and cannot provide it to you.
LOCOG may be able to assist you to answer your request, although
they will no doubt have to consider issues of commercial confidentiality
in considering your request. In addition, it should be noted that LOCOG
is a private company limited by guarantee and is therefore not a public
authority subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act
2000. LOCOG is a private company limited by guarantee and is
therefore not a public authority subject to the provisions of the Freedom
of Information Act 2000.
If you wish to re-direct your request to LOCOG you may contact them in
writing either via email at [email address] or by writing to
