Thank you for your request for information regarding:
“Please detail total expenditure by the Health & Safety Executive on Common Purpose courses for each of the following years: 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 to date.
Please also supply a copy of the invoice for each Common Purpose course paid for by this organisation.”
We can confirm that two members of HSE attended the “Matrix” course run by Common Purpose as follows:
1 member of staff in 2003 costing £3,750;
1 member of staff in 2008 costing £4,225.
The cost of this course is available on the Common Purpose website. However, you also requested copies of the invoices of HSE's expenditure. We can arrange for these to be sent to you in hard copy if you wish to provide an address.
If you are unhappy with the decisions made by HSE in relation to your request you may ask for an internal review by contacting the Human Resource Service Centre.
If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review, you have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:
