Following your request for us to review our previous response in connection with 
your request for information dated 6th February 2009 concerning any force policy or 
procedure documents relating to Reg.24(2).  
 
I can advise you that I have now completed a review and as previously advised 
Thames Valley Police does not hold any force policy or procedure documents relevant 
to your request.  However, custom and practice is that when a person takes up a 
second spell of Temporary Promotion, they are placed on the pay spine point that is 
appropriate for the accumulated service in the temporary rank. 
 
If you are not satisfied with our response you may make application to the 
Information Commissioner for a decision on whether the request for information has 
been dealt with in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information 
Act 2000.
