Street Performance – Jive Aces, Say No To Drugs, Say Yes To Life Campaign
Thank you for your enquiry regarding Street Performance in Cambridge City Centre. I confirm
that you will be performing on Saturday 23rd February between the hours of 1pm – 3.30pm at
Peas Hill/Market Square (the area beside the Guildhall and the banks). Please note the
following:
No stage.
No cables running along the path and no trip hazards.
No highway obstructions.
No banners – pop up banner is fine.
No vehicle unless previously arranged with the Access Office at Cambridgeshire County
Council. You can unload at the bottom of Peas Hill. The vehicle can then be parked at Lion
Yard or Park Street Car Parks. No access around the market between 10am – 4pm.
Music or voice shall not be amplified to a level or be so loud that either can be clearly heard
at a distance of 30 metres and the volume must be turned down if asked to do so.
No sale of any merchandise will be allowed, unless a Charity Street Collection Permit has
been issued to you and the money collected will go to the charity specified.
Performances should be no more than 20 minutes at a time with breaks of at least 20
minutes.
If the crowd gets too large can you ask them not to stand on the footpath adjacent to the
market, as this can cause the traders loss of trade on their core trading day. During these
hours this area is a pedestrian zone.
Please set up as per the last performance. Should you have any queries about noise levels

Great St Mary’s Church have bell ringing practice between 12 – 1.30pm – they hope you will not
