¹The enforcement contract with CPS ended on 3 December 2006 and included the following: recruitment of Parking Attendants, Training of Parking Attendants and Salaries of Parking Attendants.

²The enforcement contract with NCP started on 3 December 2006 and includes the following: -

a on-street parking enforcement services;
b vehicle removals (previously managed in house by the Council);
c signs and lines maintenance;
d cash collection, counting, banking and ticket machine maintenance (previously managed in house by the Council); and
e an integrated parking ICT system which includes: notice processing software; electronic parking permits; document scanning; workflow and postal payment processing.

³ The original Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) was implemented over five years ago and therefore I have no information regarding costs of the installation of the road markings and signage. 2006-2007: Cost for implementation of road markings and signage relating to the Extended Controlled Parking Zone (ECPZ).

4 I cannot determine the costs for replacement signposts and road markings prior to December 2006 as these costs were not separately identified within the department's maintenance budget.

*The Ticket Issue Machines (TIMs) introduced in the original CPZ zones 1-8, were purchased in 2002 and installed between January and March 2003. I cannot supply costs for installing the ticket machines in the original zones. 700 TIMs were purchased for the ECPZ which includes zones N1-N5 and S1-S4. The first zones went live in September 2006 and the last zones were introduced in November 2007. However, all the TIMs for the ECPZ were purchased in financial year 2006-2007.
