Could you please supply me with number of PDI trainee licenses issued by the DSA in the years 2007 and 2008. I would also like to be informed if there is a limit on the number issued per annum and if so how this is calculated.

The table below details the number of potential driving instructor (PDI) trainee licenses issued during the 2007 and 2008 calendar years.

There is no limit on the number of trainee licences issued.  The registrar does not have the power to refuse an application if the applicant meets the statutory requirements.
