Dear Ms McCall

I write in connection with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 which was received by Sussex Police on 30 January.

We hold no information of the type you describe. This is because we do not fall into either category. We do not fall into Category A, since we never automatically reduced the injury award benefit upon a retired officer reaching what would have been their compulsory retirement age. But nor do we fall neatly into Category B, since there were reviews carried out between compulsory retirement age (55 or 60 depending or rank) and State retirement age (65); and resulting assessments during that period could have remained at the same level or gone up or gone down, depending on the determination made by the examining medical practitioner.

Yours sincerely
