Dear Dr Bevan, 
 
I am writing further to my letter dated 11 June 2009, regarding your request 
for an internal review. In the letter we indicated that we were aiming to send 
you a full response to your request by 2 July 2009. We are stil  undertaking 
this review, but it is unfortunately continuing to take longer than we expected. 
I am afraid that we have not been able to complete our investigations, and as 
a result we need to further extend our deadline. We now expect to send you a 
full response by 30 July 2009. 
 
I do apologise for the continued delay and hope it wil  not unduly 
inconvenience you. We are now close to completing this review and would 
anticipate a response being provided well within the extended deadline stated 
above. If you have any queries regarding the handling of this internal review 
please do not hesitate to contact me.
