Freedom of Information Act 2000
Thank you for your email of 4 June in which you ask for:
The maximum number of places HM Prison(s) could deal with safely in 2005, 2006 and 2007. And how many of these places were occupied.
Unfortunately we will be unable to send a response to your request by the end of today, as this is taking longer than we previously anticipated. We shall however endeavour to send you a full reply by 4th August 2008. I can only apologise for any inconvenience this delay might cause.
