Jack

Thanks for your e-mail.

Surrey County Council actually own the road (it is an adopted highway).

I'm not aware of any previous proposals for it to be narrowed or for

improvements to be made to the bank. In principle we would support the

idea of steps in this location. Let me know if you have any further

queries.

Regards

David

David,

We recently visited the site to fully understand the environmental

constraints and we discussed the potential works at the front of the

development which meets the River Thames. The developers have drafted

some plans for a series of steps down to the existing riverside

landing

but as they do not own the land or the road, they will not move onto

detailed designs until agreements can be made on how best to progress

with this part of the site.

Can you confirm that Elmbridge BC own the road and has the narrowing

of

the road ever been considered in order to allow more space for the

river

bank to be re-worked?

We are waiting for the plans to be sent over from the planning

consultants in order to allow us to comment further.

I will also phone you to discuss this in more detail

Regards

Jack
