I write in response to a Freedom of Information Act request received by the trust on 16 April 2009. The Act requires us to respond to this within 20-working days from receipt - that is by 15 May.

Your request:

Could I obtain the number of people who were diagnosed with chemotherapy-induced febrile neutropenia and the number of deaths due to chemotherapy-induced febrile neutropenia in 2008?

The trust holds the information you have requested as follows:

Number of diagnoses in 2008 - 4

Number of deaths in 2008 - 0

Please note that patients with chemotherapy-induced febrile neutropenia would be treated at the specialist cancer centre in Sheffield and not at this trust.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review.
