I am writing in respect of your recent enquiry for information held by the PCT under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

You asked for the number of people who were diagnosed with febrile neutropenia and the number of deaths due to febrile neutropenia for 2008.

I'm afraid we are unable to identify information specific to your request. The current method of coding illnesses doesn't identify a specific code for febrile neutropenia, however it does have a code for `neutropenia' but this does not break down any further. For information, the number diagnosed with `neutropenia' during 2008 is 21 and the number of deaths recorded for this period is <3.
