for information under the Freedom of Information Act, asking for "documents which confirm how KCC's Kent on
Canvas is assisting local businesses".
Kent Libraries &
Archives have stated that it is
intended that Kent on Canvas will showcase the work of local artists and
photographers, many of whom have already expressed an interest in having their
work put on the website in return for a percentage of any sales. They include
commercial artists and photographers.
Kent on
Canvas went live to the general public on 14th October 2008, having been
trialled for the previous month for KCC staff only so that the systems could be tested. In the circumstances it is too early
to assess it's impact, and so there is currently no information held
that addresses your request.
