SG Benzie left an annotation (13 September 2011)
"It is not practicable to present a detailed school by school analysis for each school within Buchan Area." meaning primary school.
This request was provided in excel format. Subsequent request for other Clusters were met by providing a link to the Council's website where all Clusters within the Authority Attainment figures can be seen.
Unfortunately no explanation of the figures has been given.
I have taken note No1 from the NOTES ON MEASURES OF ATTAINMENT
"The 5-14 measures are the percentages of the cohorts attaining the specified Level by stage. For primary Clusters, this is the percentage of the aggregated
P3, P4, P6 and P7 roll attaining at least Levels A, B, C and D respectively. For secondaries, it is the percentage of the S2 cohort attaining at least Level
E by the end of this stage."
As this may assist users of the information.
I'm content this information is now available but disappointed that it wasn't done automatically. Thought might have been given to providing the smallest guidance to those accessing the information, which ended up being hosted on the Council's own site.
The briefest of time spent looking at the figures provided shows differences between two primaries in the same settlement, Mintlaw, of up to 65% in the percentage the cohort attaining the level.
These two schools are 900m or an eleven minute walk apart.
