Freedom of Information Act (2000) - Request for Information

I write following our acknowledgement letter, date 13 January 2009, reference FOI/2009/0015/ACK.

Further to your request please find our response below:

During the last five years how many times has the Local Government Ombudsman (as a result of investigating a complaint against North Somerset Council) brought to the attention of the council due to the fact that a member of North Somerset Council staff had misled them, lied to them or done anything else to hinder their investigation.

If they have what disciplinary action was taken against the individual(s) concerned by the council?

There have been no investigations by the Local Government Ombudsman.

In line with the Freedom of Information Act (2000) and the Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004, the Council reserves the right to charge for disbursements, such as photocopying and postage. However, on this occasion no fee will be charged.
