Further to your request dated 08/01/09 and our subsequent communication with the Information
Commissioners Office (ICO) we are writing to advise that we have formally reviewed the matter
with the ICO.
The outcome of our discussion with the ICO has established that the Council does not hold the
information you have requested below:
“
How many times the Local Government Ombudsman (as a result of investigating a complaint
against Coventry City Council) brought to the attention of the council the fact that a member of
Coventry City Council staff had misled them, lied to them or done anything else to hinder their
investigation.”
Consequently we are unable to provide the information, as per section 1(1)(a):
1. (1) Any person making a request for information to a public authority is entitled –
(a) to be informed in writing by the public authority whether it holds information of the
description specified in the request.
