Freedom of Information Act 2000 - Request for Information

Thank you for your email received 7 January 2009 requesting the following information:

During the last five years how many times has the Local Government Ombudsman (as a result of investigating a complaint against Amber Valley Borough Council) brought to the attention of the council the fact that a member of Amber Valley Borough Council staff had misled them, lied to them or done anything else to hinder their investigation. If they have what disciplinary action was taken against the individual(s) concerned by the council.

Your request has been considered and I am able to inform you that the Council has not had any complaints of this nature within the last five years therefore the Council does not hold any information in respect of your request.
