We confirm that we hold some of the information specified in your request.
The information held by us is as follows:
Item 1
The ODA decided not to directly provide catering on the Olympic Park and as
such principal contractors are responsible for providing catering facilities to
their specific workforce. Caterers on the Olympic Park are responsible for
procuring their supplies and ODA have provided guidance based on advice
from Sustain (http://www.sustainweb.org/). The guidance provided does is not
constitute a contractual obligation placed on the contractors.
Item 2
We do not hold information of the description specified in your request. We are
therefore unable to communicate the information to you. The FOIA only
applies to information held by a public authority. The ODA does not control or
operate catering services on the Olympic Park and as such information
relating to where food is sourced from is not held by the ODA.
As regards to the source of food during the London 2012 Olympic and
Paralympic Games (the Games), this is not information held by the ODA. The
ODA works closely with the London Organising Committee of the Olympic
Games and Paralympic Games Limited  (LOCOG) who may be able to assist
you. LOCOG is the organisation that will be staging the Games while ODA is
responsible for building the infrastructure for the Games.
You may wish to re-direct your request to LOCOG however, please note that
LOCOG is a private company limited by guarantee and is not a public
authority subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Enquires may be submitted to LOCOG in writing or via email to
[email address] or by writing to:

Item 3
The ODA does not have specific document entitled “Sustainable Food
Strategy” nor do we have a publication date for any such document. However,
we are working with the Commission for a Sustainable London 2012 to
develop in relation to addressing the issue of the sourcing of sustainable food
within an overarching set of work around the sustainable legacy of the Games.
In this regard the ODA is working with the Commission for a Sustainable
London 2012 (CS), which was set up in January 2007 as an independent
organisation which was tasked with assuring the pledge made by the London
Bid Company during its bid to host the 2012 Games for London to host
sustainable games and to leave a legacy. Information about CS can be
obtained from their website:
http://www.cslondon.org/
In addition, you may be interested in reviewing a document contained on this
site entitled “On track for a Sustainable Legacy”, specifically recommendations
14 and 15 in relation to your request. This document can be found at:
http://www.cslondon.org/documents/2007_Governance_Review.pdf
If you are not satisfied with the response to your request and wish to make a
complaint, you should write to The Information Officer, Olympic Delivery
Authority, One Churchill Place, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5LN. Please state
detailed grounds for your complaint.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the
Information Commissioner will not make a decision unless you have
exhausted the complaint procedure provided by the ODA. The Information
Commissioner can be contacted at: The Information Commissioner’s Office,
Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
Yours sincerely
