RE: FoI request for information
On the 19th May 2008 you requested the following information, using the Freedom of
Information Act.
1. The names and ranks/grades of all Plymouth Teaching Primary Care
Trust employees who are Common Purpose "graduates".
2. Please detail total expenditure by the Plymouth Teaching Primary Care
Trust on Common Purpose courses for each of the following years:
2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 to date.
After clarification was requested from you regarding the terminology of ‘Common
Purpose’ and ‘graduates’, you responded on the 27th May 2008 that:
1. There is a "training and networking" organisation called "Common
Purpose" http://www.commonpurpose.org.uk/home.aspx
They produce a class of person called a "Common Purpose graduate" although this is not a degree level qualification.
I mean all PCT employees who have been on courses run by the
Common Purpose organisation and are entitled to call themselves
"Common Purpose graduates".
2. By "Common Purpose course" I mean courses run by the Common
purpose "training and networking" organisation.
Plymouth Teaching Primary Care Trust is in accordance with the Act supplying the
following information.
1. In accordance with section 1(1)(a) of the Act Plymouth Teaching Primary Care
Trust does not hold this information in the collated way that would be
necessary to answer this question. This information may be held in individual
staff members’ personal employment files as volunteered information
however, Plymouth PCT does not collate this information as an organisation.
2. In accordance with section 1(1)(a) of the Act Plymouth Teaching Primary Care
Trust does not hold this information in the collated way that would be
necessary to answer this question. No collated financial data is held for
employees attending ‘Common Purpose’ courses during the years 2004 to
date.
