Dear Mr Kumar

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT REQUEST

Please find below, the Primary Care Trust (PCT) response to your request for information made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding GPs who have retired but continue to practice.

You asked:

1. How many GPs who have retired but continued to practice since 2004, have had their entry on the performer's list removed and had to reapply?

None

2. How many GPs who have retired but continued to practice since 2004, have had their entry on the performer's list amended and not had to reapply?

9 - These Doctors have retired as Principals but remained on the PCT Medical Performer's List as GP Locums, they have therefore just had their status changed.

I would point out that when a GP retires as a Principal, they may remain on the Medical Performers List as a GP Locum.

I hope this sufficiently answers your enquiry but please do not hesitate to contact Alison Jones on the number above, should you require any further information.

Yours sincerely
