Dear Ms Campbell
FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REFERENCE NO: 224 - 2008 Campbell
I write in connection with your request for information dated 23 December 2008, which was received by Restormel Borough Council. I note you seek access to the following information:
Information regarding allotments in Restormel.
Following receipt of your request, enquiries were conducted in order to establish whether the information you requested is held by the Council. I can confirm that a response to your request is below:
How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which the council has access to waiting list data?
Restormel Borough Council have 10 allotment sites throughout the borough for which they have waiting lists.
How many plots are on these sites in total?
For the 10 sites there are 154 individual plots.
In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?
There are currently 311 people on the waiting lists for an allotment and this is increasing all the time.
Are any of these waiting lists closed for further applications?
None of our waiting lists are closed, but people requesting to go on the waiting list are told that it could be a few years time before an allotment becomes available for them.
How many sites are there in total in the Council area?
On top of the 10 allotments sites owned by Restormel Borough Council, various Parish Councils have allotments sites as well (providing allotments is actually a Parish/Town Council function). Unfortunately the number of allotments sites available in the Restormel area that are run by Parish Councils and other organisations is not available
