Information Request:

As of December 2008, please could you tell me:

1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which

the council has access to waiting list data?

2) How many plots are on these sites in total?

3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an

allotment?

4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?

5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?

Thank you for your information request dated 23rd December 2008 received in our office on the same day.

I am currently reviewing your request and investigating whether there is any information available for disclosure. The Council, in accordance with Section 10 of the Freedom of Information Act (2000), will reply to your request promptly and in any event not later than the twentieth working day following the date of receipt.

Eastbourne Borough Council's response to your request will explain in detail the reasons why we may have been unable to supply all of the information you requested, where you can find information that is already publicly available or if the Council does not hold the information, where you will be able to access it. It will also detail your right of appeal if you feel that the Council has not treated your request fairly.

In some circumstances a fee may be payable and if this is the case I will let you know. A fees notice will be issued to you and you will be required to pay before we will proceed to deal with your request.

If after receiving the Council's reply to your Freedom of Information Request you are unhappy with the Council's actions, you can use Eastbourne Borough Council's internal complaint procedure by writing to:
