Details of Request:
As of December 2008, please could you tell me:
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which the Council has access to waiting list data?
2) How many plots are on these sites in total?
3) In total, how many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
5) How many sites are there in total in the Council area?
I can confirm that the Council holds the information and can allow access. The information is set out below. The Council does not currently make a charge for the information or for disbursements to cover such things as photocopying and postage.
Response:
1) There are seven sites that are directly managed by the Council.
2) There are 100 plots on these sites.
3) There are 652 people on the waiting list.
4) No.
5) The Authority only holds information on the seven Council managed sites. There are numerous other sites run by parish/town councils and Allotment Associations.
