Please be assured we are currently carrying out a thorough review of all our office procedures to minimise the possibility of any future delays.
I have investigated your request and the answers to your questions are as follows.
1) How many allotment sites are there in the Council area for which the council has access to waiting list data?
Nottingham City Council has access to waiting list data for 28 sites. Five of these sites are currently derelict.
2) How many plots are on these sites?
A total of 924 plots are on these sites. 128 of these plots are on derelict sites.
3) How many people are on these waiting lists for an allotment?
As of 8/1/09, 193 people are on the allotment waiting list.
4) Are any of these waiting lists closed to further applications?
Yes. Sites that are derelict are not offered to people on the waiting list. If these sites were to be brought back into use, they would then become available to the waiting list. All other 23 sites are open to new waiting list applications.
