I am writing to acknowledge your request for information dated 21st December 2008 which is being dealt with under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR).

With reference to your request regarding various information on allotments. Please find detailed below Northampton Borough Council's (the Council) response in point turn.
The Council has 14 allotment sites within the Borough for which it manages the waiting lists.
These 14 sites have a total of 1515 plots.
There are 262 people currently waiting for an allotment.
No waiting lists are closed for further application.
The Council owns 17 allotment sites within the Borough. There are a further 4 sites which are privately owned.
